Silicon Diagnostics
The Silicon Insight® family of products provides automated interactive graphical environments for test bring-up and silicon characterization of devices containing LogicVision BIST capabilities. The Silicon Insight products can greatly increase productivity for chip designers and test engineers during the critical phase of silicon validation and debug, speeding time-to-market and yield improvement.
Silicon Insight® ATE
Silicon Insight ATE is a version of the Silicon Insight software that interfaces to most commercial tester platforms. All communication to the device under test is performed through the tester's channels connected to the device's IEEE 1149.1 pins. The software can run directly on the tester's hardware system or on a Solaris or Linux system networked to the tester.
Silicon Insight® Desktop
Silicon Insight Desktop is a version of the Silicon Insight software that runs on any Linux PC or laptop. All communication to the device under test is performed through a simple USB-to-JTAG cable interface that connects to the standard five IEEE 1149.1 pins on any performance board. The solution also supports an optional USB-to-GPIB cable interface to control benchtop clock generators and/or power supplies for more detailed characterization activities.
Vectorless Production Datalogging
The Silicon Insight software can be used offline to create customized libraries that are linked into a device’s production test program. No Silicon Insight software is then required on the production floor. These linked libraries are accessed by simple user function calls and allow detailed failure data and performance information to be seamlessly logged during production testing.
